Sleek Blusher

I needed a new blush because my Barry m was just to bright pink so I choose a Sleek one instead. I brought the Rosegold blusher and it is amazing.

The packaging is really formal and sleek so nothing over the top and its really light weight to carry around. It's got a very basic design with the Sleek logo printed on the top.

The colour in the palette is very pigmented however when it's on your skin it creates a beautiful fresh looking glow and isn't over the top. When you first look at the colour you don't really notice any gold however if you swatch it onto the tip of your finger you can notice it.

The best way to get good results with this blush is to make sure you use a setting powder after you've applied your foundation because this helps the blush glide straight on.

I would say that this would suit most skin tones however if you are pale like me it really helps give definition to your face and it also is subtle on the skin.

Maybeline dream matte powder

I brought the Maybeline Dream Matte Pressed Powder a few months ago. I had really high hopes for this powder after reading really positive reviews however it wasn't what I expected.

The packaging is really useful as it is a two in one compact mirror and powder which makes it great for travelling and touching up but this is really as far as it goes. The powder I brought was in the skin tone closest to my skin tone(Rose Ivory) however once applied it makes me look really pale and ill which isn't great due to the fact I'm fair skinned.

I also find that around my nose and on my cheeks it dries my skin out and then it flakes which isn't attractive and especially as these are the main areas I apply my powder. I found that even though it's meant to come in five shades most places only stock two which means that your choices are limited which again restricts you.

Overall this is a product I wouldn't recommend and I am extremely disappointed by it.
Hey everyone,
Sorry for not having blogged for a while but I've been really ill and haven't been able to blog as much.

Nivea Lip Butter

I brought the Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose and I have to say it was a complete disappointment especially after trying other Nivea products and being thrilled with them.

The packaging is really girly and is basically the same as a Vaseline tub.But just like a Vaseline tin it is extremely hard to open.

I found that instead of moisturizing my lips it actually dried them out and left them feeling rough which isn't a pleasant feeling. The other problem with it was that it is very thick and once on your lips it seems to almost form a separate layer over your lip.

Apart from that I don't really have anything else to say apart from it was a let down and unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Natural collection duo eyeshadow

Mink and Sable Duo eye shadow by Natural Collection.

I had a job interview a few weeks ago and realized that I had no suitable make up (shock!).
Therefore I went on a mini shopping trip to boots and was on a tight budget again.

I choose to stay with natural colour's so I choose Mink and Sable. The packaging clearly shows off what the colour's are and it's easy to open . The only problem I have is that the lid doesn't always want to go back on which can be a bit annoying.

The eye shadows are shimmer based so they have a tiny bit of sparkle. They aren't bold either which was a good thing for a job interview. They stay on for a long time and blend really well. The powder is compressed and leaves little mess. Even though they are shimmery the shimmer isn't dominating so it doesn't show that much.

They can be used to create a really nice smokey eye when paired with a darker brown as well.

What's all the hype about?

I was in boots the other day and they had an offer on Neutrogena facial products so after hearing about all the hype surrounding these products I decided to do a test run.

I brought the Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2 in 1 wash and mask and the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil-Free Moisturizer .

The packaging on both these products is simple and states clearly what the products is. They are easy to get the product to dispense and there is little mess made.

The 2 in 1 wash and mask product has cleared my skin up and decreased the amount of break outs I have. I use it as a face mask once a week otherwise it can dry your skin out. It is easy to apply and you don't need to use a big amount to cover your skin. As well as this you just need to use warm water to wash it off from your face. I use it as a face wash at least once a day.You need to wet your skin first and then add water to the products before application in order to stop it from drying your skin out further.

In order to get the best results from this product I use a  blackhead exfoliating wash before and then a toner after in order to help my skin stay clearer.

The Oil-Free Moisturizer I use after I have applied toner and this product helps keep the areas of my skin which are oily clear which helps when I apply make up. It also smooths your skin out and I have found that my skin doesn't feel rough or dry after use.

When it comes down to your skin care you need to find products and a routine that works for your skin's individual needs in order to get the best results.
