Nivea Lip Butter

I brought the Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose and I have to say it was a complete disappointment especially after trying other Nivea products and being thrilled with them.

The packaging is really girly and is basically the same as a Vaseline tub.But just like a Vaseline tin it is extremely hard to open.

I found that instead of moisturizing my lips it actually dried them out and left them feeling rough which isn't a pleasant feeling. The other problem with it was that it is very thick and once on your lips it seems to almost form a separate layer over your lip.

Apart from that I don't really have anything else to say apart from it was a let down and unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Natural collection duo eyeshadow

Mink and Sable Duo eye shadow by Natural Collection.

I had a job interview a few weeks ago and realized that I had no suitable make up (shock!).
Therefore I went on a mini shopping trip to boots and was on a tight budget again.

I choose to stay with natural colour's so I choose Mink and Sable. The packaging clearly shows off what the colour's are and it's easy to open . The only problem I have is that the lid doesn't always want to go back on which can be a bit annoying.

The eye shadows are shimmer based so they have a tiny bit of sparkle. They aren't bold either which was a good thing for a job interview. They stay on for a long time and blend really well. The powder is compressed and leaves little mess. Even though they are shimmery the shimmer isn't dominating so it doesn't show that much.

They can be used to create a really nice smokey eye when paired with a darker brown as well.

What's all the hype about?

I was in boots the other day and they had an offer on Neutrogena facial products so after hearing about all the hype surrounding these products I decided to do a test run.

I brought the Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2 in 1 wash and mask and the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil-Free Moisturizer .

The packaging on both these products is simple and states clearly what the products is. They are easy to get the product to dispense and there is little mess made.

The 2 in 1 wash and mask product has cleared my skin up and decreased the amount of break outs I have. I use it as a face mask once a week otherwise it can dry your skin out. It is easy to apply and you don't need to use a big amount to cover your skin. As well as this you just need to use warm water to wash it off from your face. I use it as a face wash at least once a day.You need to wet your skin first and then add water to the products before application in order to stop it from drying your skin out further.

In order to get the best results from this product I use a  blackhead exfoliating wash before and then a toner after in order to help my skin stay clearer.

The Oil-Free Moisturizer I use after I have applied toner and this product helps keep the areas of my skin which are oily clear which helps when I apply make up. It also smooths your skin out and I have found that my skin doesn't feel rough or dry after use.

When it comes down to your skin care you need to find products and a routine that works for your skin's individual needs in order to get the best results.

Lash lengthening mascara?

So after months of trying to find a mascara which really did make my eye lashes look longer, I can safely say I found it!

The Rimmel Lash Accelerator gives really great definition and lengthens your eye lashes. The main  reason I love this mascara is because the bristles separate and allow every eye lash to be coated fully. This also means that it separates the eye lashes instead of clumping them together which i personally hate.

The packaging is really simple and isn't chunky so when you hold it you don't struggle to hold it as well and the actual wand.

Understated in the beauty world?

So a few days ago I brought the Rimmel Match Perfection liquid foundation in Ivory (100).
The reason I choose this one over the Rimmel wake me up was because I find that the dewy look doesn't really sit well on my skin and even though everyone raves about the wake me up foundation I think that the match perfection is understated.

The main reason I love this foundation is because it gives a medium coverage which stays on my skin for hours without touching up. It looks fresh and natural and I don't find it cakey. You don't really need to use more than the size of a walnut for your face as it gives great coverage. It goes on smoothly and blends with your natural skin colour really well.

The packaging is really simple but effective . The use of the glass bottle means you can see how much is left and what the shade is. It's an air pump foundation which for me personally works better as it means I can't spill any by accidentally squashing it. (bit clumsy)!

This foundation also has a really nice scent unlike others which remind me of that biscuit fake tan smell which makes me feel slightly sick so that's just a plus.
I wouldn't recommend this foundation if you have really dry skin as it will cause flaking however if you have combination skin I personally find it works really well.

Another benefit of this foundation is the price! In boots it's £4.99 which is really cheap for such a good foundation.
Personally I would recommend this over and over again.
